The Challenge
Ulwell Farm is a small, friendly caravan park at the foot of Ballard Down on the Isle of Purbeck, with 50 pitches for owner-occupied caravans. Its website was more than ten years old and built from static pages, so the park’s owners could not change the content themselves, and it did not work well on mobile devices.
For a park whose appeal is its peaceful setting and surroundings, the website needed to show that setting properly, and help caravan owners, and anyone thinking of buying a caravan there, find what they needed quickly.
Our Approach
In 2024 we redesigned the site from scratch, with a clean, responsive layout that adjusts to fit desktops, tablets and phones. We reorganised the menus and content so that visitors can find the key information straight away. The main sections are The Park, Local Area, Caravan Sales and Contact Us, and the new site includes:
- New photographs of the park and its facilities, taken specially for the website
- A local area page for visitors who want to explore the Isle of Purbeck
- Contact details, plus privacy, cookie and terms pages
- Pages, news and park details that the owners can edit themselves in Atlas CMS
The Results
Ulwell Farm Caravan Park now has a modern website that works on every screen size and shows the park at its best. Because it is built on Atlas CMS, the owners can edit pages, news and park details themselves, so the site can be kept up to date without needing a developer.
Long-Term Impact
Replacing a site that was more than ten years old with one the owners can manage means the park’s website no longer depends on anyone else to stay current. New photographs, news and changes to the park can be published as they happen.
